Hempeh Stir-fry

No, that wasn't a typo. It's Tempeh meets hemp seeds. HEMPEH! This little number is VEGAN-VEGETARIAN, cholesterol free, protein rich and GLUTEN FREE. What's more to love? Oh and it's TASTY!

WHAT TO BUY

THE SAUCE:

2 TBSP Coconut Sugar

2 TBSP Tamari GF Soy Sauce

1 TBSP Honey (or agave)

1 TBSP Balsamic Vinegar

1 1/2 TSP Sesame Oil

3/4 TBSP Almond Flour

1/8 TSP Chili Oil (or hot sauce of your choice)

1/8 TSP ground ginger (I use a pre-ground jar)

The VEGGIES + Hempeh "MEAT": Carrots, Green Peppers, Mushrooms (plus any additional veggies you want) and Hempeh

HOW YA DO IT

1. Whisk together all ingredients for the "sauce" in a small bowl - set aside

2. Saute veggies in a pan with olive oil

3. Once the veggies are almost cooked through, add in the Hempeh.

4. Make sure to toss the veggies and Hempeh occasionally.

5. Once the Hempeh is browned on the edges, you can then add in the sauce

6. Stir until everything is covered in sauce and warm.

Serve over a bed of quinoa or rice and ENJOY!
