Sweet Heat Cauliflower
Jim and I are trying our best to eliminate food waste as much as possible around the McKean household these days. I recently found out that in the U.S. we waste more than 40% of our food. Also,
DID YOU KNOW THAT...
More than 20% of the fruits and vegetables grown in America never make it off the farm because they aren’t perfect enough for grocery store standards?
That's insane. Just because they look a little funny or are a different shape or size they get tossed? SUCH A WASTE. Well, the amazing people over at Imperfect Produce were NOT ok with this horrific waste and thus have created a new system to make those unwanted fruits and veggies feel loved. Check them out, they are amaze (Mike Skupien thank you for introducing us to this amazing company).
So, I had this gorg little cauliflower laying around that I had purchased through Imperfect Foods, but it was about to go bad. I mean I CAN'T let a beautiful green cauliflower that we bought from Imperfect Produce actually go to waste! I wasn't sure exactly what to do with this cauliflower, so I scoured the refrigerator for some inspiration. I found the DIJON! Perfect, I'm getting somewhere. I still wanted it to have a little bit of heat as well. Why not do tangy, sweet and a touch of heat? There ya have it, Sweet Heat Baked Cauliflower. Recipe is below. Enjoy!
